MEET THE ARTIST
“Of all the talent that I've ever booked, Ken is the most requested and appreciated.”
— Scott C., Restauranteur
Ken McAnlis is a solo acoustic guitar artist and songwriter based in Saint Augustine, FL
In a career that has spanned more than 40 years, Ken has played all over the state of Florida and performed at industry events in Atlanta, Nashville, and Los Angeles. He maintains a schedule of 250 - 300 shows per year. His repertoire of 1000 songs consists of pop/rock songs from the 1950s to date, with a healthy dose of Americana/Country, blues, and a few modern acoustic originals - a set varied enough to fit the needs of virtually any club or event.
Ken started playing guitar since the age of 13 and joined his first band a few years later. After college, he played in various cover bands until 1993, when he helped form the power pop group Nice Guy Eddie.
NGE released several EPs and albums, with some material landing on various music compilations. The band also topped a few online polls and was picked for some national music festivals and eventually received a recording contract offer, but internal differences led to Ken's departure in 2000.
After participating in a few other bands, Ken ended up in Saint Augustine in 2007, where he has been performing acoustic shows and producing music ever since.
